The Norfolk Broads has been popular for learning to sail since Admiral Nelson first grabbed the helm there in the 1770s. West Runton Holidays first started running holidays there in the 1940s and they continue this year with Broads Adventure - a week long sailing holiday for young people living abroad beautiful traditional yachts.. There’s no need to have any sailing experience but you’ll soon be learning to help sail the boat and contribute to life on board. Much of the beauty of the Broads remains just as it was in Nelson’s time and gadgets become somewhat redundant when there is only an intermittent weak mobile signal. The real fun of being on a boat is that everyone gets involved and works as a team - hoisting sails, cooking meals, steering under bridges.
