Reinventing the wheel?
west runton holidays - dutch cycling holiday 1959
West Runton Holidays CEO Mark Gould’s family have been involved in our holidays for a long time. Sixty years ago in 1959 his father, John and uncle, Peter went on a cycling holiday to Holland. They even found the old brochure and have some photos tucked away somewhere. This made Mark, a keen cyclist himself, think about bringing this idea back. With cycling so popular again among young people it seemed ripe for a re-make.
So what will it be like? Well first of all Holland is a great country to enjoy cycling around with plenty of traffic free cycle paths (and no hills). There’s also going to to be lots of touristy things to do including a few windmills and a trip to Amsterdam. With all that effort we’ll doubtless enjoy plenty of stroopwafels and ice creams. The hard work of transporting luggage will be done using a car so it should be an easy ride. Come and join this new (old) adventure!
