Build leadership skills, challenge yourself with new activities and have fun in the amazing Lake District!
Are you looking for a holiday where you can develop your leadership skills, build confidence and maybe even become a future holiday leader?
Basecamp is a leadership development experience with a difference.
You will work with the National Trust to maintain footpaths on some of the Lake District’s most famous walking routes, developing team working and practical skills.
Back on site, and after some well-deserved cake, you will be able to choose from a varied programme of talks, seminars and workshops designed to equip you for leadership in the workplace, at university and at church. Topics include leading a bible study, discovering your leadership style and giving a short talk; in the evenings we share in worship together and study God’s word. There will also be an opportunity to complete a one day first aid course.
Alongside all that you’ll have a chance to enjoy a range of outdoor activities and adventures such as kayaking, raft building and mountain biking. Accommodation is in dormitories in the National Trust’s ‘Basecamp’ centre in a fantastic location in the central Lake District.
Basecamp is located at High Wray. The cost includes all accommodation and activities. The nearest rail station is Windermere.

An Amazing Week!
We just wanted to thank you and your fantastic team for giving (her) such an amazing week. She couldn't stop telling me one story after another about the fun she had, and how so many of the testimonies touched her. I sat there in the car bubbling with joy as I saw her 'getting it' for herself.
“The staff, the food, the accommodation, the activities and experience were brilliant and my daughter loved it. Thank you.”
